Privacy Policy
Effective October 28, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information smoothBrain Studios ("we", "us") collects when you play our games, including CLOBBERFALL on the web, as a Discord Activity, and on desktop or mobile (together, the "Games"), how we use it, and the choices you have. We try to collect as little as possible.
1. Information we collect
Game progress on your device. Your save data (unlocks, settings, stats and Bonk Bucks) is stored locally on your device or in your browser's storage. It is not sent to us.
Online leaderboards. If online scores are switched on (they can be turned off in Settings), the Game signs you in to Unity Gaming Services with an anonymous player ID. It then stores your leaderboard player name, your scores, and basic run details (for example the character, island, date and platform) so they can appear on public leaderboards.
Discord. When you play CLOBBERFALL as a Discord Activity, you authorize it with Discord's identify permission. This gives the Game your Discord user ID, username and display name. The same happens if you choose Sign in with Discord on another platform. We link your Discord user ID to your leaderboard player, so you are the same player on every device, and we use your display name as your leaderboard name. We do not receive your email address, messages, friends list or server list.
Optional Unity account link. If you choose to link your progress to a Unity Player Account, Unity processes that sign-in under its own terms.
Technical data. Our hosting providers (Cloudflare for the Game, Vercel for this website) automatically process standard request data such as IP address, browser type and request time to deliver and protect the service. We do not use this data to track you.
2. How we use information
- To run the Game and show online leaderboards.
- To display your chosen or Discord display name next to your scores.
- To keep the leaderboards fair, for example by removing cheated scores or offensive names.
- To fix bugs and keep the service secure.
We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or share it with data brokers. The Games contain no ads and no third-party tracking cookies.
3. Service providers
We rely on these providers, which process data on our behalf or under their own policies:
- Unity Technologies, for Unity Gaming Services (anonymous sign-in and leaderboards).
- Discord, for the Discord Activity and sign-in.
- Cloudflare, for game hosting.
- Vercel, for website hosting.
4. Public information
Leaderboard names and scores are public and can be seen by other players.
5. Retention and deletion
Local save data stays on your device until you delete it. You can reset it in-game (Settings > Reset Progress) or by clearing your browser's site data. Online leaderboard data is kept while the leaderboards exist. You can delete your online data in-game (Account > Delete Online Data), or by emailing us at the address below with your leaderboard name. We will delete it within 30 days.
6. Children
The Games are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Discord requires its users to be at least 13 (or older in some countries). If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal information. To make a request, email us. We will respond within the time required by law.
8. International transfers
Our service providers may process information in countries other than yours, including the United States, under appropriate safeguards.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. We will change the effective date above and, for significant changes, give notice in the Game or on this site.
